How old were you when you first started playing, who taught you to play and who most influenced your development as a young player?
I started playing the game when I was six. I was playing club soccer and my first two coaches were Jimmy Bakos and John Keaton. Also my brothers, especially my older brother Drew, who played the game with me all of the time.
What has been the most valuable aspect of being trained by the Academy coaches?
They make you work hard and know what they are talking about and you learn something almost every practice.
What has training with the Academy taught you about yourself as a player and where do you need improvement?
Training with the Academy has taught me that I have a lot to work on and that it's completely different than club soccer and a lot more competitive. I need to improve on playing quicker and faster and to know what I'm going to do with the ball before I get it.
What is the most difficult part of training with the Academy?
The most difficult part of training so far has been 'insanity'.
Does the training differ from past training you've had, and in what way?
Yes, it's a lot more intense and competitive. There is no standing around and we're always doing something.
Which of your Academy teammates impresses you the most and why?
Victor because he has great skill on the ball and he is a great player all around.
