BRIAN LUNAR

How old were you when you first started playing, who taught you to play and who most influenced your development as a young player?
I was seven years old when my dad started showing me how to play.

What's been the single best moment of your soccer career thus far, at any level of competition?
It was the Dallas Cup last year because we all performed our best and I felt that I contributed immensely to the success of the team.

What are your long-term goals in the sport?
To be a pro.

What has been the most valuable aspect of being trained by the Academy coaches?
Being treated like a pro.

What has training with the Academy taught you about yourself as a player and where do you need improvement?
I have learned my weaknesses and I need to improve my technical outlook to the game.

What is the most difficult part of training with the Academy?
Getting the whole group to train with intensity.

Does the training differ from past training you've had, and in what way?
Training is always a test and is now always serious. Because I changed my mentality about the game I now have the end game in mind.

Which of your Academy teammates impresses you the most and why?
Billy since he works hard in both the class and in the field.

Which of the other U-16 or U-18 Academy players impresses you and why?
On the U-16's, Victor Pineda because of his ability and knowledge on the field. I believe that he is ahead of his time.
And on the u-18's, Billy McGuinness since I use him to push myself as a fellow player and defenseman.
